Registration and Enrolment Journey

Starting at The BUSY School Calgary

Taking the first step toward a different kind of school experience should feel straightforward, not overwhelming. Our enrolment process is designed to be welcoming and supportive, giving you the chance to ask questions, share your story, and find out whether The BUSY School is the right fit.

We take the time to get to know every student individually. That’s how we make sure we can genuinely support them from day one.

Registration Process

Step 1 : Submit Your Application

Everything begins with a simple online application form, completed by a parent or carer on behalf of the student.

Once we receive your application, a member of our team will reach out to introduce themselves and arrange a time for your family to meet with us.

Before your interview, we’ll ask you to have the following documents ready. Getting these together ahead of time helps the process run smoothly for everyone.

Required Documents

Student's birth certificate or passport

Visa documentation (if applicable)

Most recent school report

Any relevant medical, diagnostic or support documentation

About support documentation

If your student has any diagnosed learning needs, medical conditions, or has previously received support, including paediatric, psychological, educational or specialist reports, we’d encourage you to share these with us. This information helps us understand how to best support your student from the moment they walk through our door. All information is treated with care and confidentiality.

You will be invited to meet with our Principal (or a designated staff member) for a conversation, not a test. This is a chance for us to get to know the student, hear about their experiences, and talk through what they’re hoping for in a school environment.

It’s also a great opportunity to ask questions.

After your interview, our staff will carefully review everything discussed and consider how The BUSY School can best support your student’s learning, wellbeing and future goals.

We take this step seriously, because every student deserves a school experience that genuinely works for them, and we want to make sure we can deliver that.

We will be in touch with the outcome as soon as possible.

A note on enrolment offers

We strive to be as open and accessible as possible. However, places are limited, and our ability to offer enrolment depends on current availability and our capacity to provide the right level of support for each individual student. Not every applicant will receive an offer of enrolment, and in some cases, we may recommend an alternative pathway that is a better fit for a student’s specific needs. Where this occurs, we will always aim to have that conversation respectfully and with your student’s best interests in mind.

Students who are offered a place will receive an enrolment contract outlining the terms of their enrolment. Once that’s signed and returned, it’s time to get started.

We can’t wait to welcome you.
